Tiffen Davis & Sanford ProVista 7518 Tripod and Head - Is this overkill?

I'm having a heck of a time buying a tripod for this tiny little 3 inch, 1 pound Sony HC5 camcorder. I was shocked when I received it...it's so small.
I've been able to read up here thanks to this forum but still have a few questions.
Since I need claw or bowl head leveling, I'm now considering the Tiffen Davis & Sanford ProVista 7518 Tripod and Head for my HC5 but it's made for up to 18 pounds. Seems I read where the tripod is expecting some serious weight like a xl1 or similar.
Is this going to be overkill for my tiny little toy? Will it even stay without tilting by itself?
I like the idea of an auto leveler but haven't come across any in my searches.
Where are they and what's recommended?
Thanks for the interest.

Guess I'll buy one and find out!
I'm not expecting a whole lot...just don't want the thing to tilt over...ha ha!
