UWOL 20 film upload problems? Read here.

O.K. Troops:

Time out for a group huddle. Just a couple of items to officially be addressed:

1) Film upload problems:

At present, the UWOL uploading throws an error message when you try to upload your film. Mat and Kevin will sort this out in time but as a temporary fix, Kevin is providing an FTP link for you to use to upload your film, and he will transfer the files to the UWOL server from there.

His instructions are as follows (copied from the "Upload List" thread):

Okey dokes. We can just use the FTP account I have set up to transfer files to Panasonic.

The url is silverphoenixllc.com
The username is panasonic
The password is Phoenix1
Upload your files and I'll transfer them over to the UWOL server as they come in.

2) Because of the issues, it follows that there needs to be an extension for the submission deadline. I'm officially giving you another 24 hours to get your films up. This means tomorrow, Tuesday the 26th will be the final deadline.

3) HOWEVER, I will be called in for jury duty service tomorrow and will be out of the picture the entire day. So to keep things moving while I'm called away, let's do the following:

Follow Kevin's posts on the upload list thread. If it looks like everyone is getting their films uploaded without problems, then go ahead with your feedback threads with your Vimeo links (this is on Tuesday I mean, not today), and let's get the show on the road!

If for any reason there are still upload problems with Kevin's FTP link then Kevin and I will figure out a plan B by this evening.

4) Finally, a shout out to Victor Wilcox. Are you getting my e-mails? Check your spam folder for return e-mails or e-mails from uwol@spikeproductions.com or cat@spikeproductions.com. I apologize you don't seem to be getting my communications.

Get your films up via Kevin's FTP and let the fun begin!

Cat

The best way is to download a free FTP program. For Mac I use CyberDuck
You can do it via your browser but I've never been able to get it to work.
But best way is to download a free FTP program

All the films that have been uploaded via FTP have been transferred over to the UWOL directory.
Have to run some errands but I'll be checking back periodically to get any others uploaded transferred.

If you need an FTP program, try FileZilla. It's a good free application:

FileZilla - The free FTP solution

Thank you for helping out Victor.
I have just downloaded the program and have now uploaded my video.
Had to waken my brother in law and ask for help, he wasn't too happy since it's 4am over here.
But what do you have family for ;)
