UWOL 57

The good, the bad, the ugly... What goes great, what did not go as planned, and everything in between, about the making of your UWOL57 films.

Remember the ultimate goal and purpose of UWOL, is to push your own limits, to improve your own skills as film makers. And of course to have fun at the same time.

Don't be afraid to ask if you have any questions.

Halfway through the challenge, and unusual quiet here.
Hope you all have found an idea for your entries.

With typical turbulent march spring weather I've made two trips out to shoot. First day had great opportunity and Had the telephoto lens on the old xlh1. Set up nicely and low and behold the camera would connect to the lens, just the notice "Incompatible lens". Shot to far out to go to the regular lens, curses.
Never a dull moment.
spent a lot of time sorting it out, seemed the rail was misadjusted, had it working nice, Went out next nice morning. set up and and once again it did not want to work. Put the standard lens on and shot a bit but its really worthless footage!

Got the ancient xl2 out, attached the lens and its working perfect.

Might be doing this one in standard 720 x 480 resolution IF THE WEATHER WILL GIVE US THE OPPORTUNITY.

Winds have been relentless making shooting opportunities not so available.

Hope others are having a better go of it.

Not much luck here either. Filmed a little during the school winter break, but not nearly enough to make a complete video out of it.
With some luck I might get a chance for a last attempt this weekend.

Is it possible to extend with a few days?
Maybe until Sunday 4th April?
I have some problem with the editing process.

Good question, Geir Inge.
Maybe extending until after the easter holidays could help. When I set the deadline, I forgot it was in the middle of the holidays.

Ok, I am extending the deadline until April 5, midnight wherever you are.

Thats great, I may actually get some footage. last coupe days 70 to 100kmph winds with horizontal snow.

Oh yea, trying to down load to wed yesterday and today and I get stopped every time. Thought Id post the 2.5 minutes I had for the july uwol that was cancelled, cant get it done!
