I was thinking to buy the JVC one. Generally I am a little confused about interlaced and progressive. Can I view fields on a flat monitor? I imagine so. Is it also progressive? (i mean real progressive not a fake-fielded progressive with the two fields the same).

Marcello,

I use the JVC TM-H150CGU CRT monitor for all my production work. It works for productions to be viewed in HD or SD on CRT, Plasma, and LCD televisions. No artifacting, or other problems and a screen resolution of 750 lines which is more than enough for HD editing.
It is also very reasonably priced here in the states.

I checked the Sony Professional Website in Italy and they do list it:

See here:

JVC

It is under $500 here in the states.

JVC | TMH-150CGU 15-Inch Color Production Monitor | TMH150CGU
PROVANTAGE: JVC TMH-150CGU TM-H150CGU 15-inch High Resolution Color Monitor
CRT Monitors

I am not sure how much it will cost in Italy.

John
