I bought an Ikan V8000HD

I bought a used Ikan monitor. I have an XHA1 and was wondering what cables I should get to hook this thing up?

Also, does the menu not work if the monitor isn't hooked up to the camera? I can turn on the monitor, but can't scroll through the menu settings. Do I need to have it pugged in to the camera for the menu to work?

Thanks for your help!

Michael, it looks like the V8000HD has component inputs - I'd suggest using the Component cable that came with your XH-A1. That's the one with the funky proprietary connector on it that goes out to a set red, green and blue connectors.

As far as the menu, I can't help you there. Good luck.

Thanks Trevor, there are two rows of component inputs on the back of the monitor, I decided to try the other row and everything works fine now.

I bought this used, and panicked for a while when I couldn't get it to work.
