Dual DVI monitor with KVM switch, DVI splitter and 2 PC's
Hello,
Since I have a DVI splitter working with my main desktop (Windows 7 x64) and two Dell LCD screens, what if I want to introduce a DVI KVM switch into the mix and a second PC (XP x64)? Will a DVI splitter work on the console (single head) side of a dual port DVI KVM? Or do I have to buy a 2 port DVI KVM that also has (2) two ports for the console side monitors? I wish to use a USB keyboard and mouse too so are there any recommednations for this scenario? DVI out, USB Keyboard and USB mouse for (2) PC's> DVI KVM > 2 DVI monitor flat screen LCD's with a keyboard and mouse. I want to enjoy the extended desktop for each PC whe I switch to it via the KVM. thanks all. |

I do see that both my PC's have graphics cards with the horizontal blade-pin. Will a splitter that supports these graphics cards work with KVM switch for both PC's?
