phone as monitor
hello
i have been considering the purchase of an external monitor for my XLH1. On the way to work yesterday the idea hit me .... would it be possible to use a phone or tablet for this purpose. i am certain that I am not the first one to think of this, but are there any success stories out there? cheers KF |

Re: phone as monitor
The short answer is no. You need a field monitor or atomos recorder.

Re: phone as monitor
Kurt, does that decade-old camera even have HDMI out? Not from specs I found online.
That will limit your options for an external HD display to perhaps COMPONENT ANALOG only Thanks

Re: phone as monitor
Not HDMI, but this iOS app works with some wifi enabled cameras and devices: https://www.adamwilt.com/fieldmonitor/index.html
Or this one lets you use it as a computer monitor: https://www.duetdisplay.com |
