Re: Just posted new vid •*Pasadena Langham//VisualMasterpiece
Hey just found that sub section.. never saw that before - If Chris (or whoever is moderating this section) would like to move this over I'd appreciate it.
In the mean time I'll address Gianni's Q's. 1. Music - "Season of Love" by Shiny Toy Guns 2. 5DM2's, Lenses we'll cover shot by shot in our upcoming BTS Shooters Commentary, editing FCP Studio, CC in Apple Color. 3. The only plug-in we used was Magic Bullet, and we only used it on a few select shots. 4. Yes we have the 15mm fisheye but use it seldomly, Our main steadicam lenses are: 14mm L, 16-35mm L, 24-105mm L, and on rare occations the 15mm fisheye and 35mm L. |

Michael, how in the world do you handle focusing when on steadicam?
Masterful work, exceptional.

Ok, to be honest its all about pre-focusing, lens selection and praying (confidence its going to be right). With the 14mm there isn't much to worry about, everything's in focus beyond 3ft (hyper-focal distance), I just set to infinity (or 3ft). The other lenses are a bit more tricky, especially when shooting wide open at 2.8 or wider. Sometimes I'll focus within a few feet knowing that where I am ultimately flying to is going to be in focus when I get there etc. I don't always get it right but its usually fairly accurate with what I was going for. Hope that helps. |

Our main light for the dance floor is this Lowel with barn doors: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/284755-REG/Lowel_P2_10_Pro_Light_Focus_Flood_Light.html
Our secondary light is an AB light that we use with an AB Battery on a C-Stand. Its great 'cus we just move it around in position and its a fairly strong light. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/69212-REG/Anton_Bauer_UL2_20_UL2_20_Ultralight.html |

Great job. Love the little deals, panning into the sun when the music lyrics say "sun". That 14mm really makes things look grand.
