"Mira foundation" (guide dogs) video
Hey all,
Here's a video we just finished for the Mira foundation. They train guide dogs for the blind, handicapped, and for autistic children. The Unifood corporation in Montreal holds a big fundraising golf tourney every year, and this video will be shown there. We'll also do an SDE of the tournament. http://tinyurl.com/3xnr5c Had some 'interesting' problems with the shoot. The best was deciding to reshoot the main presenter (in the backyard) speaking English instead of French. It was very last minute, my second cameraman was inexperienced. 20 minutes into it, the clouds start rolling in, the light is gone, and wham! thunder, lighning, rain. I'm trying to run both cams. Lots of underexposed and out of focus shots result. It's hard to tell, but that woman is blind. Even when you are with her, you keep forgetting. She's amazing. The rain passes, we start again. 10 minutes later, in the middle of a quiet residential neighbourhood, a dozen trucks converge on us out of nowhere, and the city proceeds to start repaving the street. We gave up... Hope you like it. It's about 12 minutes long. Shot with a Z1, and a PD150. The footage with the mom's training at MIRA was used with permission from another shooter. I edited it on Avid XpressPro. Sorry, it's a very big file. Comments always welcome. |

Just got back from the tournament. The video went over very well. Yvon Cournoyer cried, or maybe he was wiping steak sauce off his face, I'm not sure.
Henri Richard seemed to enjoy the cigars as well. |
