Mic for Church

Hey guys need your help. Sometimes i record the sound from the speakers in the church. I basically put a mic beside the speakers. The sound is usually ok. However im using a pretty crap mic so i want to upgrade to a senn. Any suggestions on which one i should get? seems to be so many out there. Should I go for a shotgun one? Im will to spend about $200. thanks.

I use a Sennheiser e604 mic at the reception but not for the church speakers.

How the heck to you get up that high to mic it? I've never seen a church speaker less than 20 feet off the floor.
