After Effects
Does anyone use After Effects for anything when editing weddings and if so for what? I never really learned it, but maybe now would be a good time to.

Very rarely but when I do it's for things like track motion, particles, fancy titling, 3D layers (photo montages)....you can also use it for very advanced colour grading, but MB and NLE adjustments are quicker and easier for weddings.
The use of Dynamic Linking back to PPro is amazing, and esp. handy and quick for fancy title sequences. |

Although I am a noobe with it, I have used it within this clip MotionOne Studios - Naval Retirement Ceremony
to get rotation on the elements flying in within the opener. Also here MotionOne Studios - Christina & Bernard?s Wedding Coming Soon Teaser But I use it mostly for my commercial work. I hope to get better using the tool. |
