New Short Clip (with Super8 Mimicry)
Hi all,
There's been umpteen threads recently with people trying to get that Super8 look/feel. Well here's the much cheaper option: Go out and buy the NewBlueFX plugin 'FilmEffects' (the FilmDamage preset)! http://www.newbluefx.com/film-effects.html For added authenticity I added a slight speed increase and chopping of some frames. I could have gone one step further i suppose and lowered the framerate too. Wedding Highlights (Rosa and Richard) on Vimeo Bear in mind I'm not happy with that sped up shot (going through a corridor) which really doesn't fit in, so please close your eyes at that point :) |

It would of been cool if you could of incorporated their "Love is" theme.
Just an idea...

Works for me. I'd sooner go down the route you describe, than chew my fingernails off worrying about using an old Super 8 camera. Quirky and cool as ever Mr W.

nothing beats genuine super8 - i love watching our old family super8 footage with that authentic 'Wonder Years' look :)
but yeah, hopefully this quick plugin alternative will help some people achieve it quickly should they wish (plus have the same footage in glorious HD backup of course!) |
