its all about taste, opinion and what works for you.
with what i do weddings and corp events, i love the in-depth control i have of the cam on the fly. Smooth iris and aperture adjustments as oppsed to stepped as seen on teh sony and Canon equivalent. Image performance is incredible, in low light here in Pal land, the results are much cleaner than the PD/VX/DSR2xx and XL cams. I cant comment on the NTSC models. Progressive scan offers a nice rich imaging alternative to your norm interlaced flavoured video. Incredible audio control and recording cleanliness, great physical balance, nice wide angle lense which doesnt make it front heavy, huge monitor which displays EVERYTHING, fat viewfinder and plenty more features ... etc etc etc so yeah, as i said, i have two of them and have never had an issue cant wait for the Panny HDV unit.. hehehehe (ssssshhhhhhhhhh i cant talk about it!) |

Oh, c'mon now, you can't do that to us. Spill it! I just know it's going to be worth passing on the Sony (and all others) to wait for Panny's HD offering. Just as with the DVX, Panasonic will take the format to its limit. |
