Hi Santo,

The WEVA CEA is the most coveted award in the wedding video industry. I don't know what it is like in Australia, but here in the states there are many "award competition companies". You send in your clip and most people automatically win some level of award. It's an easy way to advertise your business as "award winning". In any given category there could be dozens if not hundreds of winners.

This is where the WEVA CEA is different. There are very few winners per category, usually between 3-8. Each category always has one Gold, one Silver and one Bronze. Then the judges also have the option to award a Finalist award if they feel that an entree was very close to the Bronze winner. There have been as many as 5 finalist awards, but it is not common and many categories only have three awards given.

So when you win a WEVA CEA, you really have accomplished something.
