Roberts dead on the money. Whenever you see decent laser shows, they're at angles to the bulk of the audience - Even the Pink Floyd style horizontals scans had to be quite a way above the audience to work properly, although back then, it was cigarette smoke rather than haze! (Another kind of danger, but less damaging to cameras!)
