I've found a used 70-200 f/2.8 version I that I would like to buy. The first release seems to be just as good as the second and half the price, has IS as well so it's there if I need it. Still haven't decided on the rokinon or canon glass for the primes, tough choice!

I've had both first and second release and while the second is marginally sharper, I'd have no hesitation in using the first version for video.

Here's my take on the primes..... if you have the budget, buy the Canon glass.

Oh, I don't know. Sigma's lenses are getting good reviews these days and they work with the autofocus (I don't know if that's true of all of their lenses, or just new ones). Here is a run down of their Primes, reviewed:

I was referring to the Canon (with AF) vs the Rokinon/Samyang rather than saying Canon over anything else.

Sigma have some great lenses also, though I haven't tried any of the very new lenses personally, I've been looking at the 18-35 f1.8 for use with the C100.
