Sound bleeding through into other clips need help

Audio from other clips are bleeding through onto other clips in the time line on Pinnacle 16?
What happens is the audio goes onto the left channel and the proper audio is on the right channel so you hear two different sounds at the same time. This is totally random and has happened over 20x on a 2 hour time line. The strange thing is that you do not hear it on the head phones while editing the time line, only when you burn it to a file or disc. Any advice?? Thank you
