Possible iRiver alternative

Came across this iPod accessory. It has line/mic input level selection and might be a good choice for many who already have an iPod video.

Last time I heard anything regarding using an iPod was that Apple had restricted the recording quality to a sample rate of only 8kb. That was a couple of years ago.

Did you check out the link?

This is something different and higher quality. After you add up all the costs though, I think I would go for a nice wireless as the ipov video plus adapter plus lav mic is getting pretty expensive plus you have to deal with the ipod video being much more of a target for theft.
