Audio File Issue with iRiver recordings...help

So all of my audio files were working perfectly on a wedding I have been editing for a couple of weeks now. Then this morning as I sat down to work...any of the audio files that were recorded from the line in mic on one of my iRivers produces no sound (the other one works fine). However, there are some weird things happening...

1. The waveforms show that sound is being played but no sound is comming out through the speakers
2. This problem only occurs from one iRiver and not the other
3. Any of the sound recorded from the files in question and that are already on the timeline still play perfectly
4. All of the files are saved on my hard drive so I checked the individual files and they do not produce sound there either.
5. This happened to all of my files from that particular iRiver even the ones I recorded months ago and used in other weddings
6. The recording from the other iRiver I have plays all files perfectly

Has anyone had this issue? If so what did you do to solve it...am I screwed?

Thank you so much for your help...

Jeff

more weirdness

This might be good news for me because I am narrowing down the issue...

I backed up the audio files on a cd a month ago and they wont make any sound either

It is always the simplest of things

The problem is solved...

I monitor audio through headphones and it has a switch for changing mono and stereo...it was switched to mono. After hours of trying to figure my problem out, I was about to give up...but a nervous habbit of playing with the switch fixed my problem...luckly the file was playing when I made the "discovery"

Lesson learned.
