Sennheiser G2 no audio
Hello, I wondered if anyone has had a similar problem with their Sennhieser. In one shoot the wire to the receiver had to be fiddled with to get the audio. I bought a new cable and used it at a wedding this past weekend. The audio was great until about 1/2 way through the ceremony, then no sound at all. Unfortunately I had switched to another camera at the time so did not know I had lost the sound, fortunately I had an iRiver backup.
Anyone have any ideas or suggestions on what might be happening? All of the connections were secure. thanks |

I've had a similar problem before. Mine has never cut out but 2-3 times when I turned the unit on, it had no audio. All my settings were the same so there is no reason I could see for that to happen. To fix it, I shut off the transmitter, unplug the mic, screw t back in then turn it on. That has fixed it every time. and it only happened 2-3 times. If it is cutting out mid-way and you have changed the cable, I would guess the unit itself has a defect.

If you have changed the cable and it worked and then didn't the first thing I would look at is the plug on the receiver. The wires to it inside might be loose and therfore when the cable jiggles the contact to the receiver is lost. Send it in to be checked.

Thanks. I do believe it is a bad connection someplace. Anyone know how long it takes to have the unit checked?
