I have a problem...

I have a project in Vegas that uses a lot of audio tracks (along with the single video track.) The project consist of my dialogue, ambient and music tracks. Everything was getting pretty cluttered, so I decided to duplicate the video/picture track in a new project and from there I created MORE audio tracks. The audio tracks are folley sound effects, which I hoped to copy and past into my master/original project (the one that was cluttered.) My problem is, when I copied and pasted my folly track from from the "folley" project to my master project, the positioning of the folly sound effects are now off. I made sure that I pasted the folley tracks according to the frame at which they started. Somehow, this did not work. Does anyone know how I might be able to move my folley effects from one project to another project, and still maintain their original positions? Thanks.
