Can you do this in Vegas?

Made this video with Premiere using 3 cameras. Is it possible to do the same in Vegas 7?

http://www.socalspeedzone.com/pages/dfdriveoff07.html

Also, can I capture the footage (using HDVSplit) and then use both Vegas and Premiere to edit, or do the mt2 files have to be separate for each program?

Thanks.

Yes, setting this up would only take a couple minutes, and it would be easy to reuse the layout. Bearing in mind that Vegas preview performance is dependant mostly on processor speed, you'd want a good PC to support full frame rate previews on three streams.

Vegas does not include a flash encoder.

I'd assume you could, though I'm not a user of HDVSplit or Premiere... You can also work in multiple instances of Vegas at one time using the same footage.

That would be very simple to set up in Vegas.

Thank you Seth and Edward. If it is easy to describe, how do you do it?

Edit-Figured it out! Very cool and my PC works fine rendering it live.

Vol 1 Issues 1, 2, and 3 of my newsletters explain the PIP process. You might want to download them all and look them over. A lot of the basics are presented in the various issues.

Thank you Edward, great site you have.

Did some quick edits to try it out and it is great. Just as easy as in Premiere.
