Vegas/ Vista issues?

Hello all. I've looked but I've been able to find anything deffinate about this. Does the newest version of Vegas (8) have and conflicts with vista? Most things do so I would assume that this does too.

If this has been discussed here if someone could give me a link I'll gladly follow it.

Thanks in advance for your help.

I have a problem with it on Vista Ultimate 32-bit in that it crashes on launch.

However, on the very same computer, it works just fine on Vista Ultimate 64-bit and XP Pro (32- and 64-bit).

I think it is a peculiarity of my Vista installation - it has a lot of software development stuff on it and it gets a lot of abuse.

No-one else has reported this issue on that platform.

Vegas/ Vista issues?

I installed Vegas 8 the same day it was released, it has been running on Vista x64, Intel Quad Core machine and so far I haven't had any problems.... running perfect.

Thanks all for the input! Nice to get help from such nice folks willing to help out a newbie. I do have a dumb question though I've seen it several times before. What's the difference between 32 and 64 bit Vista? How do I tell which I have on my laptop? Thanks for the help.
