XACTI and Vegas 8

So has Sony opened up the world of card recording to all cameras - that is all codecs yet? I am getting a Xacti and want to drop the stuff into the timeline and work with it.

Anybody have experience with the XACTI and Vegas 8?

Thanks!
Milt

Milt, I have some old Xacti footage, Vegas 8 won't open it, but Sanyo also changed their encoder half way through the manufacturing process; I'm told that users can now open it.
Send me a short bit if you'd like, I'll test it for you.

Thanks Doug,
Actually, I decided to go with Vegas 8, and yesterday my Xacti vpc e1 showed up. I immediately shot some stuff, and it dropped into vegas like a champ. Really glad about that. It looks amazingly good. I'll be posting some today at http://hollowbonefilms.manykites.org

Thanks for the offer!
Milt
