Haven't had much luck!

I'm using Vegas 7 & shooting with a Panasonic DVC30. I render as an avi uncompressed in Vegas but it looks a little out of wack (flattened a bit). When I render avi NTSC DV it looks fine. Whats going on? I've got an flv encoding program I'm using to convert the vids for Youtube & Blip TV, so I want to save these file as uncompressed as possible before converting them, right? Can't seem to figure this out or had much help! Some words of wisdom would be great!!!
