Paste Particular Event Attributes?

Is there a way to just paste color correction attributes from one event to another without the animation attributes? Also, is there a way to just paste a filter such as Magic Bullet from an event to multiple events without carrying over all other attributes? For instance I CC'ed 10 clips, but then really liked the settings of Magic Bullet that I added to just 1 clip (the others don't have Magic Bullet). How can I paste just the Magic Bullet filter with settings intact to the other 9 clips? Thanks.

I've never found a way to paste 1 attribute. It's either all or nothing. However you can highlite ALL the clips you want to add the MB fx to and then add MB those.

Thanks Don. Just figured that the easiest way to do this is to copy the clip, paste is elsewhere, delete all other filters except the ones you want to copy over, copy event attributes and then paste event attributes to the clips you want the filter(s). Then delete the dummy clip.

Re: Paste Particular Event Attributes?

Really old thread, but very relevant since I was just about to ask same.
Is this still the same now? All or nothing, or use the work around?
So many times I want to copy CC and /or Pan Crop but not timing.
Just saw this about FCX (see pic) and was filled with envy.
Do they actually listen to feature requests?

Gerald, you need to send that picture to Sony and say "Vegas is supposed to be so much better so why can they do it and we can't?" :)

Re: Paste Particular Event Attributes?

You know what Mike, Im going to do it.
Ive always cynically imagined them reading the request, having a laugh, then hitting the trash button.
But you dont know if you dont try.
Might add some others as well...
Being able to copy n paste fx in the media bin
Being able to apply pan crop in the media bin.
Being able to transcode in media bin, so right click, render as, standard render window pops up with one great addition, a button that says, Render in background with reduced CPU usage (except when CPU is idle).
Right click addition in Windows explorer, Prepare files for Sony Vegas. This would generate peak files, and anylise for audio sync via waveforms.
Cool, theres the start of my feature request. Lol

Have to say I've been asking for 'copy and paste specific attributes' for years :-(

It's probably the single most useful enhancement I can think of.

You can actually copy and paste just the pan / crop attributes.

Go to Options > Customise Toolbar. Then look for Pan/Crop Copy Paste and Reset buttons in the left box. Highlight them and click on Add to move them to the right box. Then move them up or down as required. Click close and you will have these valuable buttons in your top toolbar.

For other edits I have no suggestions other than to have a dummy video and audio clip on its own track to which you can copy then edit out your various unwanted edits then recopy to the real clip.

There is a Remove Effects button that you can also add, as above. This will remove all the edits except Pan/Crop so it would be a useful way of "zeroing" your dummy clip. You would of course remove the Pan/Cop using your Pan/Crop Reset button as above.

p.s. Not sure now if these are regular Vegas buttons as I have Vegasaur installed.
