Rendering H.264 in a Quicktime wrapper?

How do I render H.264 in a Quicktime wrapper from Sony Vegas 8.0b? I cannot find a H.264 preset under the Quicktime render presets, only H.263. Thanks in advance.

Are you referring to sony vegas pro 8 ?
If so the h.264 is called Sony AVC in vegas.

Some kind of Windows + QT bug (intentional?) that won't give you the H.264 option in Windows apps. Buying QTPro will let you render H.264 using QTPro only. You will still not be able to render H.264 out of your editor, however.
