Can Vegas capture 4 channels of audio?
Can Sony Vegas capture 4 channels of audio from a DVCAM tape in 32k mode through Firewire/iLink? If not, what is the inexpensive solution for this, aside from capturing 3/4 in a second pass and sync'ing them on a timeline and making a subclip (what a pain!).

Vegas can't, but Scenalyzer can and do it in one pass. It creates an .AVI file with the video and audio tracks 1 & 2 and a separate .WAV file with audio tracks 3 & 4. Scenalyzer is a terrific capture program anyway and well worth the $34 it costs.

I second John's recommendation. I have used Scenalyzer for this many times. Just add the AVI and WAV to the timeline and you're good to go. They've always been perfectly synced for me.
