Vegas and AE Not Playing Nice

A few weeks agoa I wrote about a probelm with AE footage being too contrasty except with 32-bit processing, which kept crashing when I tried to burn Blu-ray. I finally got so frustrated that I began exporting AAF to Premiere as a last resort.

Well after reading the thread regarding Vegas and the 5DMkII, it occured to me that my AE files were using 0-255 Computer RGB. The Histogram confirmed this. So, I applied Vegas' Color Correction (Computer to Video Preset) and it worked, but was a bit flat. After adding a touch of Contrast back in, it looks good and I can stay in Vegas. Hooray!

I'm curious as to why AE exports as Computer RGB? Did I miss a setting?

I'm not an AE user but I have heard that it uses the full range and that you need to be aware of this when working with Vegas.
It sounds like you've got a workaround so, in the absence of any other comments or suggestions, go with what works for you.
