Ya, in the Digidesign (protools, avid) and FCP world, compatibility is often marketed as a huge feature, having a standard protocol for file management is a plus for collaboration ... I also hate it. Unfortunately that's why Vegas will never be a considered NLE when posting a big budget feature or television show. It can't manage files like the big boys!

I really like my file work flow in Vegas, and being able to change when/if necessary for me IS A feature:)
