Sluggish playback in Windows Media Player

Hello All,

Has anyone had any sluggish playback of HDV footage (rendered out as .avi) in Windows Media Player and Quicktime? Do I need to set something before I render? Playback in fine as a .wmv Source footage is 1440X1080 .m2ts and .m2t files.

Thanks in advance.

AVI is pusing a LOT more data per second than WMV. That's why it's sluggish. It may be 10-100 times more data.
