rendering DVD NTSC, black bars?

Hey guys.

I'm rendering m2ts video in Vegas to an mpeg with the DVD NTSC template. When I bring it into DVD Architect I'm getting the black bars above & below the video, and the video seems a little squashed? Am I doing something wrong?

Two things:

Render out of vegas on the MPG-DVD-NTSC Wide template for DVDA.

Make sure your DVDA project properties are 16:9.

Will check both. Thanks.

I also read something last night about zooming? I forgot to mention that the disc I was trying to make has files from a hi-def/widescreen camera as well as standard def.

Hey Seth. I rendered as a DVDA stream with a separate ac3 audio file out of Vegas. Worked like a charm & looks great. Thanks for the info. -R
