Vegas 9 videos render in slo-mo

Hello.

Quite a few times, I've merged multiple avchd files from my camcorder in Vegas 9 Pro and rendered them as avchd or standard mpeg2 only to find that after all that time rendering, the video of the finished product eventually goes to slow motion.

Is this a bug with the software?

Thanks,
Rich

PS: Would it have anything to do with grabbing the files directly off the camera through Windows, which brings them over as .mts, instead of through the Sony utility, which brings them over as .m2ts?
