Are you using the latest version of Pro 9?
I seem to recall a fix for this issue but I'm not 100% positive about that.

I had the same problem once on a long project in 8c - never found a solution. I sure hope someone knows how to fix this - I'd like to go back and re-edit some of that 8c project.

I just finished the project the hard way.
I had to match all the camera b cuts to Camera a.
It was not that hard, just time consuming.

Hi Dror,

I've experienced this a few times and tried finding an answer for it too. Unfortunately, I never found an easier way to fix it than this:

1. Open your project and Copy and Paste a section that includes the affected portion.
2. Open a new instance of Vegas and paste that section in.
3. Right click the affected portion in your new Vegas project and choose "replace media".
4. Choose the correct file and hit OK.
5. Save the project.
6. Copy and Paste that new project into the old, affected project.

In my experience, if I tried to replace my media without doing it in a new project, it just didn't work. I finally found that making the replacement in a new, untitled project worked.

Hope this helps. If not, ask me and maybe I can clarify my steps.

After seeing several multicam issues now in this forum, I'll mention that I use vasst Ultimate s multicamera, and through all versions of the multicam feature has 1. never let me down 2. easier to use than the vegas tool.

In addition, the additional tools of Ultimate S (there are dozen) are invaluable to me, particularly the photomontage feature and audio tools.

Worth every penny, I couldn't live without it.

Thank you so much for all the replies.
I have checked Ultimate S before and I think I will end up getting that if I will end up staying with Vegas.
At this point I am thinking of trying Avid or Premier.

Dror, there are many multicam options. If you look at the scripting versions, in addition to Ultimate S, VASST also has a free "duo-cam" which will only do two cameras and a separate "Infinity-cam" which does multi-cam but doesn't have the additional tools. Another option is Excalibur which has multi-cam abilities as well as many other tools.

I can say with confidence dror that if you add Ultimate s or Excalibur (both are amazing) you will likely not need to leave Vegas unless you're having other issues that they won't address.
