Motion tracking plug in needed
I am looking for a stand alone motion tracking plug in for Sony Vegas 8 or 10. Something similer to "witness protection" by Boris.
Does anyone know of one? I need to blur the faces and the brand idenity of a tractor product as it drives across the screen.

Re: Motion tracking plug in needed
You can do it manually with keyframes. Otherwise, you might look at Boris.

Re: Motion tracking plug in needed
ed...
the problem with doing it manually is that it takes forever...ie sometimes i have like 30 mins of video that need to be blurred.... i have done the manual keyframing and it works okay, but it takes hours to do it manually. at this rate by the time i get the video done and edited, next years products will be out! lol

Re: Motion tracking plug in needed
David, as Edward suggested, take a look at the offerings from Boris.
YouTube - BCC7 Motion Tracking in Vegas Pro 10 is a BCC7 Motion Tracking tutorial done by John Rofrano. Motion Tracking Filters: The Easy Stuff is a tracking tutorial for Boris FX. If $600 for BCC (Boris Continuum Complete) is too rich for your blood, Boris FX is only $300 ($200 if you own the light version of it that came with Vegas 7. BTW, add the word "take30" at checkout time and bring the BCC price down an extra 30% to $416.50 If I'm correct, this discount offer expires at the end of this month. |

Re: Motion tracking plug in needed
If you're not ready to buy all of BCC7 you can get just BCC Motion Tracker separately as a Boris Continuum Unit. The money you spend on Continuum Units can be applied toward the full price of BCC7.

But you'll need to upgrade to Vegas 10 as well, don't forget.
