Vegas & Sony DSR PD170 Write To Tape Prob
I was attempting to write to tape from a file on my HDD to my Sony DSR PD170 and I get to the point where I choose Cue Device and do so but "Preview on Device" & "Record to Device" are shaded out. I get stuck in the mud right there and cannot get it to record to tape.
But when I plug in my Panasonic PV-GS500 camcorder they are available and it works fine. What do I need to do to get the Sony DSR-PD170 to work? Thanks

iirc it SHOULD be in vcr mode.

Yeah camera needs to be in VCR mode or it won't record back to tape.
