Re: VEGAS PRO 11/ .mpg 4's
I use an HM-700 and two HM-750s at work and have no problems dropping MP4 files directly on a Pro 10 timeline so I see no idea why they wouldn't work in Pro 11.
I use XDCAM EX ClipBrowser to convert them to MXF files though as a lot of my work is lengthy shoots (30 min. to 2 hr. continuous) and this free utility stitches them together into one long file instead of several short ones. edit: Link to ClipBrowser- http://pro.sony.com/bbsc/ssr/micro-x...ndowsMac.shtml Be sure to check out the JVC GY-HM Series Camera Systems forum on this site as it's the only one I've found and the folks on there are very good at sharing information. http://www.dvinfo.net/forum/jvc-gy-h...amera-systems/ Last edited by Mike Kujbida; October 26th, 2011 at 01:43 PM. |

Re: VEGAS PRO 11/ .mpg 4's
if I am not mistaken Vegas can edit MP4 since version 9 and 11pro dos it even better,
if you will be shooting XDCAM EX you will NEED to use clip browser to re wrap longer than 4Gb clips to avoid dropouts
