Exporting from Vegas to FCP

Hi guys,

I'm trying to export some files from Vegas 12 to FCP 7 so a friend can help with some editing. This is the first time I have done this and I haven't been able to find a tutorial anywhere.

I have performed File > Export > FCP 7 within Vegas. Once completed Vegas produces a .xml file and a log file.

How do I import these into FCP 7?

Do I have to copy all of the original source files (.mts) and sony vegas (.sfk) along with the .xml file to the other system?

Thanks,
Richard

Re: Exporting from Vegas to FCP

You'll need to send them the xml file and the video files (.mts). The .sfk files are not needed. The xml file is actually the FCP project file that the other person will load.
