A 5 minute HD clip with some motion graphics or something?

Sony uploaded something called the Press Project a few years ago for Pro 11.
The file is still online at http://download.sonymediasoftware.co..._benchmark.zip
A PDF file that discusses the test and subsequent results is inluded as part of the download.
Be aware that it's a 2.5 GB. download so have a high speed line and be patient :)

I got 29.97 fps playback at Preview/Half (GPU on and off).

Render times (GPU off) were 02:42 for both the MainConcept AVC Internet HD 1080p and XDCAM EX HQ 1920x1080-60i, 35 Mbps templates.
Render times (GPU on) were 02:05 for the MainConcept AVC Internet HD 1080p template and 01:32 for the XDCAM EX HQ 1920x1080-60i, 35 Mbps template.

If that's too much to download, John Rofrano came up with something called the Vegas Pro 12.0 GPU Render Test Project.
It's available at https://f1.creativecow.net/7248/vega...r-test-project

For this project I got up to 20 fps playback at Preview/Half (GPU off) and 29.97 at Preview/Half (GPU on).

Render times (GPU off) were 01:11 for the MainConcept AVC Internet HD 1080p template and 01:51 for the XDCAM EX HQ 1920x1080-60i, 35 Mbps template.
Render times (GPU on) were 00:36 for the MainConcept AVC Internet HD 1080p template and 00:43 for the XDCAM EX HQ 1920x1080-60i, 35 Mbps template.

Computer specs (supplied by employer) are as follows.
Off the shelf Dell Precision T3610
CPU: Intel Xeon E5-1650 v2 @ 3.5 GHz
GPU: Nvidia Quadro K4000
RAM: 16 GB.

Using XDCAM EX HQ 1920x1080-60i, 35 Mbps my new comp rendered it in 20 seconds.

5930k + Radeon R9 Fury X

I have the CPU overclocked to 4.5ghz.

Without GPU acceleration turned on, the render jumped to 2mins 20 seconds!
