I like the addition of Vignette and out putting files in H265. But it's still not enough to have me upgrade from Vegas 12 tbh.

I'll wait and see what Vegas 15 brings to the table.

I'd just like to be able to open a file without the program locking up. Whatever they changed to make the preview window work better somehow chokes your computer in other ways. I try to open a 14gb AVCHD file and the program goes almost immediately to "not responding" then the window turns white, and it crashes. Looking at my system resources, I have 58gb of RAM free. Where the heck is it trying to load this stuff that it freezes?

Well, I found out myself.
So here is the way to update, if anyone wonders ;)

You have to download the latest version of SF pro (should be 6.0.3) and install.
Then you have to download the new Vegas plugin. It has been updated for VP14.

holy crap, that is a heck of a system. I'm sitting on v12 right now and I was waiting for GPU assist to be stable enough to push past the 400% realtime render speeds (4x longer renders from realtime). And this is .... not encouraging news. May be I'll just do my hardware system upgrade (I have a ~4yr old system with some 6yr old parts) and skip the software upgrade (and skip my dream of GPU assisted rendering)
