Go to the Sony website, get the UPGRADE to Vegas 7+DVD for $150.

Sheldon:

I had the same problem, when I went from a link posted in another thread.

However, for whatever reason, when I accessed this from the original post in the thread announcing Vegas 7, it was okay. I got delivery today.

Thanks Chris!

After reading the reviews for V7, I'm not sure if I'm ready to take the $150 dollar leap just to burn DVDs. I'm using Pinnacle 9 for burning right now, but the burning errors are numerous and frustrating (even after reducing the bitrate and burning DVDs at the lowest speed).

Any recommendations?

I ve used Pinnacle. I noticed more problems with Pinnacle burns in terms of certain machines being able to play. What is funny is that Sony DVD players seem to be touchy about reading the Pinnacle stuff, but DVD Architect ones go fine.

I will say when I upgraded to Pinnacle 10 plus, that doesn't seem to be an issue..

Are you getting better burns with P10 plus? P9 does some crazy stuff sometimes like putting audio on the wrong scene, chapter not working etc....

Sheldon:

I had a funny thing happen with a 2 + rough cut I did of a school show. The sound was not synched for some reason.... I figured it was because I jammed to much stuff on the disk.
