Vegas File Won't Open

Worked on a video for many hours. My hard drive dropped in transit from one computer to the other. Everything works fine, however the vegas file will not open the file. Does Vegas store files anywhere on the PC?

Look for a .bak file on your computer: That is a backup file that Vegas creates, assuming you've got Vegas set to auto-backup
