Sony DSR-DU 1 Hard Disk Recorder

Is anyone using one of these hard disk recorders with there dvcam camera?

I think it may be a good "piece of mind" purchase. However, at 2000, its very expensive.

Any thoughts?

For peace of mind, another DV camera running in VCR mode might be much more affordable.

There is one of the VX2000/PF150 forum members that just purchased one but he has not reported back in with his experience.
