Hi,

I'm selling my Sony NEX-FS700 camera body, Solid Camera top plate, and (2) extra genuine Sony NP-F970 batteries. Also included are all of the original accessories, packaging, and original purchase receipt. I am the original owner and purchased the camera new from Full Compass on 06/27/2012. The camera is in like new condition and has a total of 20 hours on the meter. I used this for two projects and have taken extremely good care of the camera.

What is the length of the rig from v-lock to the rear bolt-bracket on the plate mount? (My tripod base is about 9" from bolt to nose--JVC KA-551U).

That's a good question Finn. I don't have an answer right now but this is what I can do: tomorrow when I go to my house where I keep my equipment I'll measure the gap from the backside of the battery mount plate to the back of the wireless receiver bracket and let you know exactly how big it is. I had forgotten about the anton bauer aspect of this but I'm pretty sure I have the original AB mount that came attached to the camera. So whoever buys the package would also receive that adapter in case you decided to switch over to AB or if like the case here, you already own AB equipment.

I tell you one thing though, if you could put a large AB battery on this camera you could run the whole setup including the light for almost half a day! That would be sweet. I've run this camera sun up to sun down a number of times with just two IDX batteries though. When one ran out I put in on the charger and it would be fully charged in about an hour an a half. The new battery would run for over two and a half hours so battery life was never an issue in my situation because I always had a charger available. Outdoor shooting in the wilderness or in long event coverage the larger batteries would be a necessity I'm sure.

Finn, It's 9" right on the button - and I believe I actually tried it on the 551U once and it fit perfectly.
