Can't see the files, but :

- you need an oscilloscope to adjust levels of both camera to match.
- how do you use your footages to "show" the result in 3D to your audience ?

Thanks.

There are adaptive-deinterlacing-artefacts.
Way too fast shutter for my taste.

If you take the hand grip off you can get the cameras much closer together. There is a small circuit board inside the grip housing with a single plug. Undo the plug and the zoom rocker and all the buttons can be detached easily. Doing this gets the cameras another 30mm closer.

Hi Alister Chapman,

I know that this was possible, but the cameras are not mine, were borrowed, I did not want to spoil anything because it is a somewhat complicated process.
thanks for comment.

Have a Question.

Are the two cameras synced together with a cable?

btw. imho it is not a good idea to bring the two cameras too close together. So they are okay, as they are now.

"it is not a good idea to bring the two cameras too close together. "

What? The stereo base depend on the object distance (min and max).
Do you know the 1/30 rule?
There is nothing like "too close". What if you want record a macro?
This requires 2-4 cm base!
For general situation, i find that 6-10cm is good.
More base is for far, landscape theme.
thats my experience.

3d corrections

hi all,

i'm back, in my 3d production "Maravilhas 3D", i have some stereoscopic errors because the interocular distance i use is too large.
the solution is make some adjustments in post productions, for that, i have been making some tests with software Nuke+Ocula.

is here one of my tests in anaglyph images.
which is the image that you like?

one is the original and the other the corrected.

cheers, Marco Neiva

i prefer the second.
i see bad ghosting on the background of the first pic.
but this is due maybe the anaglyph format.

the second shoud look better, especially with anaglyph because there is always the problem of having luminance in red and green that is causing ghosting against the luminance of the real picture.
but the second picture has probably a totally different depth perception of the first one. ( seems the neutral plan is set now to the background wall.).
Anyway, i check the price of the programs used (ocula + nuke) and it is pretty expensive.

it doesn't look like it's done anything other than shift the channels left and right a bit which you could do with just about any edit or compositing software.
