Seting up for first time settings

1) I have a Canon XHA1S and need help on the settings when starting a new sequence. I have filmed in 24f . What settings would you recommend everything be set at?

2) Can I also save all my clips on an external hard drive and pull them into Adobe and it work ok?

Thanks, Eric

1. Try HDV 1080p24
2. Best is to put everything on a internal drive.
