Jagged images in AE
Hi,
I have a problem with After Effects CS4. I have done a slideshow in Final Cut Pro and exported as a uncompressed MOV. I import the MOV to AE for some color correction etc, and export from AE to another uncompressed MOV, and bam! There's the problem - as soon as I export from AE the images get jagged, and it looks awful! Any ideas? |

Sounds like an interlacing issue.
Make your FCP slideshow, and all subsequent output files progressive and see if the issue remains. |

Thanks for the reply,
Unfortunately, that's what I thought first too - but it's progressive all the way through the pipeline from FCP to AE and beyond. |

Is there any chance you are outputting in less-than-full resolution from AE?
Whatever the issue, it seems to be happening in AE. |

Does your FCP interpret the file correctly? ie. not upper or lower field first.
