Offline Files After Formatting Hard Disk
I searched in the forum and couldn't find anything regarding this topic; forgive me if this has been covered before.
I reformatted the main hard disk and reinstalled Windows XP and then Premiere Pro 1.0. I can open up an project, but then it wants me to 'find' the clip that is offline. I understand what it is doing, but I have almost a thousand clips that are offline and it is going to take me forever to find and then import each clip individually. Does anyone have trick to make this process easier? I have tried to go back and import all the clips at one time, but I still have the original files saying they are offline. If I delete the offline files, then I loose everything that is on the timeline. Any suggestions and help would be great! This forum is always great in solving my strange problems. Cheers, Jon |

hi jon,
happened to me too. and even if you just change your drive letter (like when you use external drives) it also happens. For me the only way it works is finding my clips again. There is one "pro" in premiere: if they are located in the same folder it finds them all at once...if you can put them all in the same place that should work |

Paulo,
Thanks for you suggestion about having all the files in one folder. It seem to work that way. I really appreciate your help. It is nice that people are willing to help out and make this forum a very useful place. Thanks again! Cheers, Jon |
