Ready to buy, Help me out!!
OK I have read many many posts here and I am ready to buy a new audio setup for my GL2. Now please help me out. I am getting the BeachTek DXA-6 for the XLR convert and I need 2 or 3 mics. I would like 1 or 2 for ambient sound and 1 shotgun mic for voices that will be used mostly on a boom. I have read about many different mics and how some like them and others do not. My problem is that I live in an area where I have nothing even close to look at, SO please help me.
What would be a good mic for ambient sound? What would be a good shotgun for use on a boom? Thanks for your help. I am excited to start and would love to share some clips with everyone. LeEarl |

What about the Audio-Technica ATM31a or AT813a for an ambient mic? Looks like it would work great in a few different aplications.

LeEarl,
Have a bit of a search here, look around a bit as this question is asked at least once a week. You'll find LOTS of answers if you just search on any of the words used in your post.
