using ENELOOP rechargeable AA batteries in sennheiser EW100's

I have just purchased 8 ENELOOP 2450 mah batteries, and was surprised how after few minutes of using I have got 2 lines displayed about the battery level, with normal alkaline like duracell or pro cell I normally got one line decrease after at least 2 hours.

G3 seem a bit better on rechargeables, but these cells are 1.2, not 1.5V, so appear to the transmitter to be slightly discharged when put in - the test is simply how long they operate for, and you can then make something meaningful from the meter.

Rechargeables start at 1.2V and stay there. You will get 2 battery bars for the entirety of the time you use it. It might give you 2 battery bars for 6 hours, then with 2 minutes warning give 1 bar, then 0 bars, then die.

On the upside... you can just switch them out every 4 hours. Doesn't cost you anything! |

As Paul and Mike stated, the G2/3's battery meter is not very accurate w/ rechargeable batteries, as they are 1.2 V and have a different discharge curve than alkalines, (more linear and start out @ 1.5 V when new). So it's normal to see two bars after a short run time.. Based on my extensive experience of running rechargeables in portable G series systems, I would expect at least twelve hours of (constant) run-time from a fully charged set of 2.4k Ah Eneloops.

Just curious is there is a menu setting where you tell the unit what type of battery you have installed.
